ABOUT ME

BEHIND THE LENS

I come from Taiwan. After accomplishing the master degree from Taipei National University of the Arts (TUNA), Taiwan, I teach visual arts in a few colleges and universities.

As a digital visual artist, I create images that extract the most exquisite elements deep inside my heart, my mind and my soul. My art works reflect my senses of aesthetics and views of philosophy, rather than only record the explicitly observable phenomenal world. That is to say: "I feel, I think, so I create."

Most of the time, I rely on my instincts for creation. I intend to catch the evanescent moments and depict the essence of eternity from transience through photography. On top of the characters of impromptu delights, my digital art works are unbounded by existing forms and structure, and freely blend of the western and oriental cultural elements. Some of them are endowed with metaphysical poetry.

Per my nude-art photos, I expect to apply what I have learned from nude-art painting to the field of photography. Not only do I try to decode the secret codes of the primitive purity and beauty in human bodies, but also to disclose the humanity, desires, and mentalities hidden beneath those superficies. There are no definite features on the figures of my images, since what I intend to represent, is not to picture a specific personalities or portrait, but to portray mutual-symbolic identities and mentalities which belong to human beings.
